"The narrative which relates to the collection of architectural testimonials is yet to be written. The documentation of architecture has been confined to the mere sidelines of history as far as museum collections are concerned and to this day does not for feature within the everyday canon of objects within museums and archives. The documents of any building project predominantly take the form of plans, drawings, models and photos, over time expanding to include digital and written records. Architectural archives are thus places where secondary material arising within the context of construction planning is gathered together."
